best way is to strike a compromise
you and the girl will jointly choose something or object that you both like for the tattoo
next is to agree on the part of the body to be tattooed
this will give her some right to do something she likes
and at the same time letting you to play a role or participate in some tattoo decision making (give yourself some 'face')
this is the ideal outcome, in my view, though my feeling is, most Singaporean women are not that 'kuai' to allow men to have some face!
