It was my first time to cheong there. Well.. not totally bad experience but it's kinda of lousy. Haha.. I should not delay any longer.I set off on saturday early in the morning 7:45am. It was a last minute decision. So i reached WTC at around 9.00a.m and met up with my cousin.

We took the ferry from WiDi-Express at 10.10a.m. After exchanging the currency at WTC, we board the ferry. It's a very small ferry and not only that, we cant find a seat and had to sit on the upper deck aka SUNTANNING Deck. Haha..

1 Hour later we reach Batam Center. Being a newbie with some tips from sammyboy forums, we haggled for a taxi to Nagoya at 30k rupiah. Not really cheap but who cares so much. We asked from hollywood and the driver help us to book two rooms in wisata hotel after much trouble becos of public holiday, nearly all the hotels were fully booked.

Conclusion, Batam is not really that fun in my opinion and never trust anyone there. All they talk is money. Especially taxi drivers, when u ask them how much, they will say anything is fine with them. if u pay them 20-30k they would say too little. Normally they ask for 40k to 60k per trip. might as well book a taxi for the whole day. i spend around 170k on taxi fare.

Next destination: Balai! Heard that there are a lot of chinese girls there.. i think after all i prefer chinese and thai. Not malays.. Maybe it's my dick problem. In the end, both the ceweks tot i'm american. i told them i'm singaporean they say american got big dick so they classified me by my dick. -_-

As for being con by taxi. actually if for short trip, only need to pay 10k. there is no such thing as pay anything also can. always negotiate the price first. If the cewek is good, she will even negotiate the taxi fare for you.

Its your first Batam trip and you complain so much, if its no good, then why still so many ppl flcok to BT eery weekend? One rule of thumb in cheonging (anywhere): "be prepared to get conned, espcially newbies"

Please dun put too much hope on Balai cos you might easily book a cewek who claims to be chinese by her or her OKT and turn out she can only speaks a few sentences of hokkien.

The point is: if you dun like curry, dun go eat it and say the dish is to spicy or not tasty - be well prepared.
