Re: Gout and constipation
Gout is mainly caused by lifestyle (eg. too much alcohol and meat) . Since your lifestyle is the root, the best cure is to change your lifestyle?

Drink Kefir. It's like liquid yogurt. Contains lots of good gut bacteria. I think there's a vendor in SG. Google it.

Re: Gout and constipation
I take Allopurinol to treat my gout. So far so good in preventing any gout attacks. You can Google for it to know more about it. If you need it just let me know.
![]() For your constipation, you can improve your system by taking probiotics. You can get that from your Yakult or Vitagen or yougurt or there are pills available at pharmacies. I have some Korean ones which is sugar free from soya based ingredients and it's good for diabetics. |

Personally, whenever I get gout attack, I turn to drinking Black cherry juice or taking black cherry extract pills. 2 times a day, and after about 2-3 times, drinking lots of water to wash out the stuff, my mild gout is gone. And I keep to a low meat diet during this time. |

Re: Gout and constipation
For prolonged constipation, change your diet and drink lots of water.
For occasional constipation, there are many off the shelf remedies in the pharmacy. Drinking lots of water, 2.5-3 litres a day, will help with both gout and constipation |

Re: Gout and constipation
Ermm, I think you should just consult a doctor rather than ask around here, drinking too much water is toxic.
There's an association between dehydration and ghout attacks so the advice is to drink more water. and not drink X amount of water a day. Also, this article mentions a possible remedy which is skimmed milk. http://www.webmd.com/arthritis/news/...d-water?page=2 Even with this website, go consult your doctor. |
