Re: Fertillity Questions
Best is to consult a doc.
It will do more harm if the baby got it too. Although the chance is little but doesn't mean it wouldn't happen. Also, if your wife get preg, means she will have chance to get the virus too. This is no joke man. |

There are too many possibilites for the causes of fertility issues. The top 2 are often stress and genetic. My opinion is always to adopt a more wholistic approach. This means a well balance lifestyle and diet with minimal stress. On the long run, this will allow the cells in our bodies to regenerate better and increase the overall quality of our DNA. |

So to increase your fertility, just do these simple things: 1. Don't stress. In fact I have seen many couples struggling to get pregnant then I advise them to take a shagging holiday and Boomz - pregnant. 2. Don't smoke. 3. Don't drink. 4. Don't wear tight pants/underwear. 5. Don't go to sauna, steam bath, onsen etc 6. Excercise regularly. By that I mean at least 20 minutes of 70% of your maximum heart rate 5x per week. Please check with your doctor first. Don't keel over from a heart attack. 7. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Eat less fatty meat. As for your 2 concerns: 1. Herpes - this will NOT affect fertility. Neither will it pass to your baby while he/she is in the womb. You will invariably infect your partner. And if she has active herpes along the birth canal during delivery, the baby can get a very awful Herpes infection. In wonderful medically advanced Singapore, this is usually treated with delivering the baby via caesarian. 2. Gonorrhea - this very rarely affects fertility. In men who are immune compromised (eg HIV, Diabetes, taking steroids, cancer etc) it can spread to the testis and cause some damage thereby affecting fertility but this is super super rare. In women, it can ascend into the pelvis and affect the tubes, ovaries and uterus. This can make the woman infertile. |
