A Love Story - Specially dedicated to a PRC WL in L1639

Fish: You are amazingly beautiful. I think I like you a lot.

Water: Don't be silly. It is not very possible to like me so fast.

Fish: Really, I am not lying to you.

Water: I do not believe in Love at First Sight.

Time slowly passes, and the feelings for the Water becomes stronger for the Fish with each passing day.

Fish: I love being with you.

Water: I don't think so. You are feeling such because you have just become accustomed to me, that is all.

Fish: I love your zest in life.

Water: That is because you have not seen the world yet.

Soon, Days becomes months. And the Water has to carry on flowing down steam to join the River shortly.

Fish: I don't think I can handle parting ways with you.

Water: In a few days, you will forget about me.

Fish: I do not think so. I love you and will not love anyone else but you.

Water: Don't be silly. Those feelings you have for me is because you have not met anyone else besides me.

Fish: You are my everything!

Water: But, you are not my everything.

Fish: Then tell me, who is your everything? What is your dream?

Water: The Sea is my Love! The Sea is my Dream!

Fish: Is there nothing I can do to make you consider carry on staying here with me?

Water: It is not possible! If I do not flow on, I will become still water and will never get to see the Sea, the dream of my life!

Heartbroken, the Fish mulls about the prospects for losing the Water.

Fish: Then, let me accompany you to see the Sea.

Water: Don't be silly. You are only a freshwater Fish.

Fish: No! I will not allow you to carry on alone, with so much storms ahead.

Water: I will never have feelings for you.

Fish: I am not asking for feelings. I just want to be with you.

Water: You do know that I will never love you.

Fish: But you cannot deny me my right to love you.

Water: But you are harming yourself by carrying on this way!

Hence, the Fish accompanies the Water flowing down stream and after a few days, they come to the River. In the process, the Fish loses 50% of its life.

Fish: I am not sure how long more I can carry on accompanying you on this journey.

Water: Turn back while you can. The days ahead do not suit you.

Fish: NO! I will carry on accompanying you until my very last step!

Water: Why are you doing this to yourself?

Fish: Then why can't you accept a fool who loves you?

Water: But you already know that I love the Sea. And only the Sea is in my heart!

Fish: Why can't you accept my love, care and concern?

Water: I ONLY believe that the Sea is the one and only for me!

The journey carries on. The River soon joins the Lake.
The Fish is tired, and its life is now almost at down to 30%.

Fish: What would happen if I am no longer around?

Water: I will be very upset and hurt.

Fish: And what would happen if the Sea is no longer around?

Water: My heart will die and also die with the Sea.

Fish: Then our paths were never meant to be?

Water: Our relationship was never based on love, but it has a lot of memories, memories that will always be sweet.

Fish: And what makes you think that the Sea will love you?

Water: The Sea is my everything! My dream and I will NOT give up my dream!

The Fish is lost for words! But a promise is a promise and the Fish carries on the journey with the Water to meet the Sea.

Soon, the Lake joins the Sea and the Fish and the Water arrives at the sea side. The Water realizes that the Sea is its everything, HOWEVER, THE SEA is not the WATER only source!

The Water has a breakdown. After such a long and tedious journey, the Water realizes that there is no way to win the love of the Sea. The Water decides to leave the SEA.

The Water begins to think of the Fish. However, due to the long journey, the Fish is close to its last breath and its life is close to 2%.

Fish: I have seen the SEA. The Sea is very majestic. I think the Sea will treat you well.

Water: I have decided to leave the Sea.

Fish: Don't be silly. I am very sure that the Sea will realize how much you love it and repay you many times over.

Water: I think I AM WRONG.

Fish: How can you be wrong? You have sacrificed so much for the SEA. Surely it will be touched.

Water: Once upon a time, there was a fool who loved me. But, I took it for granted. And I lost him. God darn it, tell me you love me. God damn it, tell me you love me NOW! Tell me you want to spend the rest of your days with me. Please tell me you love me.

Fish: I cannot promise you anything. I will not be selfish especially since you love another.

Water: Can't you be selfish for once?

Fish: Don't be like that. I love you is my right and sacrificing for you is my honor. Loving me back is not your responsibility!

Water: Why was I so selfish? Why was I so silly? Why did I not cherish you earlier? Why did I not love you earlier?

Fish: Please don't say that. It makes my heart heavy to hear you say all those things.

Water: Why are you so good to me? Why have you sacrificed so much for me?

Fish: Forget about me. You will find someone else who is worthy of your love.

Water: Aren't you the person who I should love and cherish the most?

Fish: Don't be silly. In the days to come, I will not be able to accompany you any longer.

Water: I have been wrong all this while. I do not wish to be wrong about anything else. Please don't leave me.

Fish: Please do not be like this.

Water: I really have begun to love you deeply.

Quite a good read except it can get a bit melodramatic and draggy and long at times. It seems that it will have a happy ending or will there be a cruel twist at the end? How many times will there be a happy ending in such a situation in real life? TS, I assume you are the fish and the WL is the water in the story. Hope both of you get what you want in the end.

Actually, I would rather that people consider themselves and their mates when reading this story. How many times has your Significant Other told you that he/she is not interested in you only to regret that they did not select you in the end?

I guess I should rewrite it taking into considerations what you wrote. Anyone wants to revamp it more?
