Hi dear bros, Please advice my friend that his CO sued him PPO and maintenance issue, so he had fought back on family court and applied divorce.

1, couple both is blue IC chinese nation, woman filed case later 2006 ( ppo AND ms), family court : PPO dismissed and MS 550sgd/m in mid 2007
2, he filed divoce her Feb 2007, many many round conselling, mediations, dragged more than 2 yrs ,latest hearing on Apr 2009, still going... not ending
3, He fully supporting his only child studying oversea abt 30,000sgd annual since 2007 not mor saving
4,although they were staying one roof, he had not sex with his OC since 2003, but his OC told Court different storey-still had sex with him b4 Apr 2008.my friend moved out house since mid 2007

It is very appeciate if bros give some ideas to help him to off the suffering.

may he complaints Goverment-"LOL" Family Court had dragging his case so so long?Please.

I think this is the practice. The court would order a "monitoring" period, hopefully in this period the couple would reconcile. Patience is the word. But if his wife is pushing so hard, it may be wise to engage a lawyer to represent him.

PRC woman are very scheming too. Sad to say that spore rules does protect woman. Your friend need to engage a very good lawyer to fight the case.

Based on what you've posted it is patently clear that the marriage had broken down irretrievably. For that matter, baring all unforeseen events, your friend is likely to get his divorce. As to the duration, a wait of 2 to 3 years for contested divorce proceedings is not long. It can even take 5 to 6 years to resolve. No use complaining to the authorities. Dont take your friend's solicitor had delayed the matter inordinately.

Just to give my 2 cents worth of comments:

I think this woman is not easy to handle and she is really out to dig all the money that she can get.

The law only protect woman in Singapore. I think what you friend could do is to try and negotiate for a lower maintainence and it's quite common for divorce case in Singapore to drag. Usually because both parties disagreed on terms.

It will be easy if one end does not contest on the terms given by the other, then the process will be faster.

Maintenance is never the main issue in divorce proceedings. There are other issues and the distribution of matrimonial assets if substantial may be the stumbling block if the woman has been scorned by the man.

If his lawyer is doing a good job, let him be. Now that he had moved out the PPO is no longer an issue. The maintenance also can carry on.

The marriage is a short one? If so then the division the man will not be hit too badly. Your fren got a lawyer already, make the lawyer work for it. Different if your friend has no confidence in the lawyer.

A man is under a duty to maintain his child. This is so even if he is broke and unemployed. There is no such thing as a $1/- maintenance order for the child. Its utter rubbish. If you dont know anything, dont give rubbish advice here.

What kind of advice is this? Havent you heard the saying "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn"? If the court were to hear this case it will never order a $1.00 maintenance for the child.

Ya, I think tat's true. as already said, the courts is on the woman side. Juz hv to play within the perimeters of the rules if u do not want to be on the wrong side of the courts' decision.
