Is it only for the sex (which is lacking from the wife or maybe "new face") , or is there a chance of "love" (met too late in life, blahblahblah) ???

probability of the single woman stuck in this situation feeling miserable and sense of lost and loneliness with a married yet estranged husband leaving her and going back to his family unit/wife/kid is higher than anything else!!!

the single woman will just end up feeling hurt, sensing anguish, frustrations, worried, sleepless nights, lost and constantly wondering if he will ever reply her sms or even call her... and then she will keep looking at the old messages and thinking what has she done wrong... no point...

Movies and fairy tales give hope... in fact false hope!!! Lols! Like they all say, "it's all in the script!"

The choice is clear. logically, due to responsibilities, he will definitely stay with the miserable wrong choice he made in hell because of a 3rd factor - his child, being the motivational force. it is not only the one he married that he is living with. So he will choose to live in hell but the escaping focus here is his child and/or children, family, his friends and his work.

Yes, he may have chosen the wrong one but he has his family, friends and work and of cos his child to care for and could possibly provide the emotional support to carry on. There won't be any time left for him to think or hweel about the right one or even have the opportunity to spend time to meet the one he claimed it's his soulmate. Responsibility is top priority here.

I don't understand this concept of happy ever after? Who put this idea into you gals head? I don't think there is such thing, cos every relationship is a work in progress. Feelings can change even for woman. I have experienced that many times. Many instances during courtship the gal would tell me that I am the one, she never felt this way before with anyone else, she would do anything for me etc but after some time the love hormones fade away and all those words are forgotten and they will even deny they said that!

Married man are to be avoided like the plague? Some maybe but single man are safe? Many single man are players and don't wish to settle down. They are the same people in reality and the marriage status don't mean much nowadays. Actually in my experience if a girl really loves someone they don't think too much and hope for the best. The most important thing to look for in any relationdhip is sincerity. Words are cheap. Just say anything doesn't cost money but if there are actions backing up those words then we can take it more seriously. Still there is the test of time.

Having said that to be with a married man is just a harder struggle and messier but don't ever thing of looking for the happy ever after as a quest or goal. It is a urban legend that such a thing exist. Marriage is not the end goal or final destination, it is just the beginning of a struggle to be together and the realities of life and it's challenges will test the marriage time and time again.

Yes babe this is so true. I so feel you. But honestly I feel such lessons are always best learnt when you actually experience it yourself. When I got involved with a married man earlier, I went ahead despite all the odds and threw caution to the wind because I honestly felt it was worth it (at that point) of cos I live to regret and have to deal with a broken Heart now.

P/s looking at old messages -- yes! I do that so often. Rereading all the memories from those happier times.

I actually wanted to reply you in your thread on my personal experiences EONS ago... and had typed out something but got erased by server logins. so what I posted was an excerpt of my personal experiences, can't tell you exactly how many years ago because I had managed to block everything and everything seems hazy... except the stab wound into the heart... the scarring is still there and still hurts occasionally.

have been thru it & I knw how it feels like...Well, my story is pretty long. Long story short, we were tgt for 4years. Ended our r/ship last year...it ended becoze his wife found out abt us. The 4 years we hv been together felt like a normal bgf r/ship..went on holidays, seeing each other almost everyday, movie dates/dinners & etc..he even met my family & all (well, he wanted my mum to knw tat we r together). The only drawback its I cannot call him (when he hv reached home) as & when I like & spending special occasions like CNY/Xmas, holding hands in public & etc..

He decided to get a divorce to be together with me but I told him not to..becoze I dun want his daughter to end up in a broken family. His daughter is very smart & hv a very bright future ahead of her (she is in one of those special stream in sec school)...thou I am not brought up in a divorced family, I understand how it feels like.
In any cases where parents do divorce, the kids r always the most innocent & they get involved without even doing anything wrong

I mean well, I could hv stood by his decision for him to get a divorce then so tat I could hv an ending wit him, which is we will get married after tat (he did discussed tat with me b4). But to build my happiness on someone's (his wife & daughter) misery?? I dun think I can live wit tat for the rest of my life...

He went into financial difficulty wit his business sometime last year...now still trying to make ends meet. In fact, I spoken to him afew days back, talking abt some matters. (I m not trying to salvage our r/ship or wat...we hv made it clear to each other, we are friends nth more..watever the past is, it will b past)...I told him, lucky tat time he did not divorce his wife...if not his financial status will be more jialat now

After going thru things like tat, I dun think I will ever wanna get involved wit a married man anymore..no doubt he is the best bf I ever had.

as i have posted. experiencing first hand and learning it is something no one wants. don't even speak about learning. you will not be the same person ever. If I had know it was this, I would have avoided it totally. because right now even after so many years, if there is a sincere person out there, I would also end up trying my best to avoid them at all cost, that is, REGARDLESS this person is single, married, estranged, divorced.

I have many more lonely years ahead because I can't die young, so I do not want to live in constant pain and hurt. and therefore, I would give him up, let other women enjoy him and wish him well.

TRUST is an issue, FEAR is the word now.

P/S: yeah the old messages... sms but they are hazy... now mostly memories which date back so long ago... and they suddenly came back to haunt me now constantly after I have totally forgotten all about it for the last 10years... I keep wondering why these memories are back though?! it's been 10 long years that I had absolutely forgot... hmmm... why are they back?!
