Person's detail from h/p number???

Hi all, recently discovered tat some ppl got ways of finding persons particulars like name, ic, home address etc simply from their h/p no (even prepaid huh)

any kind soul willing 2 share how they can managd 2 accomplish this? Wondering wats e modus operandi, is it as simple as paying a small fee to any of the big 3 operators and viola!

Would you mind giving us the context of your situation first? For example, what gave the above idea? I don't think anyone can obtain your personal particulars through a prepaid number cos these are unmarked and not regulated by the network operators.

Actually, there is a way to do this. Not difficult at all. The clue is, "network operators do not do this."

yep.. ur suspicions are not undue.. i gave my hp to a police officer and he immediately told me my address, nric, etc..

Prepaid cards are much for difficult. If it's a standard line, the police will have access to the personal info of the subscriber...

I was arrested a few years ago when they tracked me down thru my hp number...the first thing they ask was if that was my hp number...sian 1/2

Trust me.....pre paid card is hard.....i checked many times.......it very very hard.........hehehe.....DOn ask me why....

Prepaid card cannot be traced. The best you can do is to trace it to shop which sold. The another big issues is it may pass through many middlemens who do cash business.

I am in this telecom business so know this well. But if you have a local regular number then you can find details provided you are getting help from provider or someone working for the provider.

It is also illigal to find the details without proper cause....

its impossible for them to be able to give obtain the address and NRIC, etc.
the information is keep with your service providers (Singtel) they have to write in to obtain it..

i know this becoz i am working for them...
i mean Singtel, Starhub or M1.

After 911, buying a phone without line also need registration...
unless u got the phone from those Jalan Besar Street hawkers..then its another thing...

information is everywhere..its how to trace..and who can trace it..

well it seems 2 me tat one must have the right contacts wit insiders in the big 3 2 get the details and that how the ahlongsans work...........hope cat is not out of the bag having right connections is everything for a small fee it appears
