Why is Geylang so so dead nowadays?

I just returned from a 2 yr posting....

cannot tahan.....went visit geylang....my favourite haunt....

but that place is so so dead.....

2 yrs ago.....there were so many girls looking for business....walking down one of the lorongs...confirmed grabbed and molested by 5-6 gals....

now....its all gone....

can someone advise ? whats happening? is there a more happening place in Singapore now? i swang by Joo Chiat....also very dead.....y huh??

there is some kind of raid by the police sometime ago according to some samsters... guess they did a pretty good job by keeping the street clean...
