Nothing fantastic about this place. When i arrive there,only a handful of shops were open. Mostly Malay food,and 50% of the food store has no tenant,another ghost town. Walk around the area for 15 mins before heading to Batam Fresh Beer :

At Batam Fresh Beer, i see some people,but the place is a semi open air pub,it has both indoor and outdoor. I believe this place mainly do their business in the evening and i was there a little too early,hence i dont see many people. Will head there in one of my later trip after sun set to check it out again. No,I dont drink but i am after their delicacy,so i will definitely be back.
Next place,DC mall...needless to say,this place as previously mentioned is a 2nd hand computer wonderland (personal view). Many 2nd hand computers selling at ridiculous low price from S$30,but i have doubts on its quality since most of the parts they used are "way-overhauled". The good part is all these computer are actually in working conditions. So if one is onto computer parts and has old computers that require repair and do not wish to pay ultra high price in Sillypore for obsolete spare parts,this place will be a good place. i spend quite a bit of time in DC mall going thru their shops and things they sells until my girl called,telling me she's hungry. So i have to go get dinner and thats where i head to somewhere around Bata Haji towards Sekupang to buy dinner :
This place is technically along the stretch of long highway,so there is no known address or name card to pick up.The eating area was pack with people eating. Pick up a few packets of Ayam Penyet before heading back to Hotel...below are some of pics of the store/surrounding :

Reach back hotel around 9pm+.I realise i cannot open my room door with my card key,i knock on the door and my girl opens the door for me. She told me she has the same problem too,but the hotel receptionist reactivate the card key for her to allow in.I left the packet dinner in the room and left the room and head to the receptionist desk to ask them whats wrong with my key card,i was told the previous receptionist accidentally only activate my card key for 2d1N when i was suppose to stay for 3D2N...all's well thereafter and head back to my room for dinner where i was caught with another surprise,the dinner.
The packet dinner i bought do not come with disposable spoon,hehehe.... my girl can eat w/o the fork/spoon,but i couldnt. Lucky i am prepared for that as i always have standby plastic spoon with me. Dinner was good,especially with the sauce on the picture above,hehehe...but it was chilli-hot (i was sweating like hell..lol). Cost of a good takeaway dinner for 3 person (includes driver's share) was 48k. Nice!
After dinner,i go downstairs for some small walk with my girl,had some drinks at Tea Story and then to the provision shop nearby,bought more drinks and some tit-bits before heading to room again to rest up a bit. Then comes the teasing and the bonk,rest a bit again before my girl suggested massage. My girl says she doesnt want togo to Kings anymore,saying its "no good",so she suggest asking her friend who does massage to come to our room to massage. I told her to go ahead but not before telling me the price since she is the one who wants her massage. The price,200k/hr...i rejected. It was a Halal Chicken rice store which i heard was quite popular,per set of chicken rice is at 15k. Location is opp Penuin Wet Market ,almost opposite to where the Bai Long Wan Tan Mee store is. Good and cheap food,beats the Sillypore version hands down when it comes to taste.
Still having some time,the unreliable driver drives me around Nagoya area where we check out Dju Dju Hotel.Heading to Harbour Bay where i also move around to locate Ocean Massage. I see more Hotels on its way coming up around Harbour Bay and i am not talking about Marriot,hehehe...
At 130pm,i reluctantly check in to board the ferry back to Sillypore. This trip,my overall rating is 8/10. I am already missing Batam as i am typing this...and my next trip,will be soon as i am now at planning stage.
