Still, I patronized his outlet until he started trying to sell some green tea package to me. When I declined, I could see he wasn't too happy about it. I'd usually say "bye" just before I leave. That time around, he just ignored me. Not that it matters, as there are other massage outlets all over the island. I've stopped patronizing Madurani ever since.

As it nicely illustrates how there are some Singaporeans - taking advantage of the stellar repute of Singaporeans - to con fellow citizens.

Also that perhaps there are those, too used to the general high-ethics in Singapore, who can easily fall prey to conmen.
