Latest on China Visa?

Any bros got any latest news about when the chinese garment gonna lift the visa for singaporeans going into china?? Going in mid september and hope they do it soon. Quite troublesome to get it, money aside is one thing but the time and effort.. Now that the 2008 Games are over, hope they do it soon..:)

What I remembered when they enforced the visa thing on 1 July was coz they wanted to control and minimize any terrorist threat to the Games, but since it is over, there is no official word yet. I am hoping soon or at least not a permanent fixture..

What you need to do is to print out the application form, fill it with a pp photo attached, bring it with copies of your hotel booking and airticket to the China Embassy, go to the recept and collect a number then wait.... for your number. Else you can go to any tour agency and ask if they can do it for you, they will charge a premium over the usual visa fee.

If do it yourself, be prepared to wait at least an hour over for your turn, tons of people there applying for visa, unless you are the first one to be there at 8.30am.

Applied mine 2days back and collecting on monday, they need 4working days to process, dont know why, but safer not to do it last minute.

After Olumpik for normal people, next come the Olumpik for the "Handicapped."
I think visa free should come earliest in October.

Contact the travel agent, just lie (write) down, the rest they do it for you.

Agreed, couldn't wait for this shit to be over... Easy money rolling in for the Chinese garment. To me, it serves no purpose. Only serves to fattened all their deep freaking pockets..

You could get the visa through travel agents at People's Park. I got mine for 50 bucks on 2 entries valid for 3 months. Think single entry valid for a month cost 35 - 40 bucks. All you need to is just a color passport photo.

My agent told me might be after 26 Sep no longer require visa to PRC.
