Possible to pick-up & befriend those SYT working in shopping centres? Any tips
 

Realized there are quite a number of SYTs working as retail staff in shopping centres - selling bubbletea, Pedro shoes, skincare products, waitresses etc

Just curious if any bros here managed to befriend any of these gals before. Some are really very sweet looking and totally my type. I really wanted to muster courage and approach them, but usually it's difficult cos there are always other customers around and it's a fast paced/crowded environment :(

Those good looking ones usually are for ang moh.
You can try at food stall, hawkers or super-markets.

Dating apps are of course an easier channel to know gals. I have been using Tinder and OKC for a few years (on and off).

But what I realized is this - the attractive gals on dating apps usually very low response rate. They are usually just trying to fish for more IG followers or work as financial consultant/trying sell stuff

Those who respond warmly are usually those plus-sized chicks or those old (above 35), or divorced with kids. Basically the bottom of the barrel quality kind.

I was wondering will it be better if I just go out there to approach a gal that I like, rather than wasting my time on these dating apps.

U mean approach SYTs working in food stalls at hawker? Usually syt who work at hawker stall stalls is the daughter of the hawker, her father will be watching u :D

Does not necessarily need to lead to sex or a relationship. Will be happy just to know them just as friends too :)

You can't make much headway as just a customer - as you mentioned, too fast-paced interaction.

Your best bet is to apply for a job at the same place as the chio bu and then try to wriggle your way onto the same shift, then start from there :rolleyes:

Unless u are Andy Lau or Aaron Kwok, don’t think anyone will feel flattered if u really muster the courage to just approach and befriend them.

Ya that's the strange thing. For guys, I am sure we will be flattered if a gal actually walks up to compliment us or try to befriend us. Even if it's a fat chick, we will not be offended or take it negatively

But why do gals get some defensive and offended when guys try to befriend them? :confused:

I actually talked to several of them. Mostly Malaysians. Got a little too clingy so decided to drop them since I’m out of town most of the time. My advice is to just play it cool, don’t sound too needy, ask whenever it’s appropriate. Confidence plays a key as well. Took me 2 months (once a week of visiting) to get the Wechat of the malaysian bbt retail staff.

Become a customer. Be nonchalant on your first visit. Don't make it obvious that you're beoing her. Second time ask for her recommendation, like flavor or color? Then maybe say you also like this flavor or color and chitchat from there. Make sure the shop isn't at it's busiest time. Good luck!

Today saw some ok looking ceweks at a foodcourt in Orchard. All Gals outing... they were videocalling their bfs I think. Peep at some of their screens and could see they were Indians. Not the banglas.
Sighhh.... the most chio one also taken.
