There are some adverse voices about Legal Geylang brothels, do you think if it is possible that the government will shut down those brothels?

Since the separation of Singapore from Malaya Federation, people living in Geylang have been complaining about the sleazy night life

After the establishment of AV unit in MHA, legal brothels then came under the spotlight.

They have survived this long and will survive indefinitely. The government has approved of these brothels and the policy will never change.

Sex work can never be stopped. If you can't ever stop prostitution, then the next best thing is to regulate. With some level of regulation at least the government can control a bit rather than let it run wild underground. So legal brothels will never be closed. If Im not wrong there are plans to relocate from GL but they will still be around elsewhere.

House shutdown is due to business reason. Legal brothel will be there long time. A traditional trade that will be carried on. Maybe shifting location is possible.
