Nothing clean about Larkin ...its a sleazy shit hole full of massage parlours. . . Most are Indonesian especially merlin tower. Was there few days ago .. they are asking 200MR for HJ. once they get you inside so total 250MR for nothing more than a HJ.
I think they are hoping to get tourist who don't know better. Also mostly old aunties working around there.
Have not seen malay women at these places. The genuine malay massage shop will be clean.
Anyways I don't like the area much. . Its dirty and there are better places up north.

Saw two rundown massage very budget joints in the wet market at Larkin interchange, worse than Little India Dunlop Street (no offense to Indian bros).

I think other places in JB better..

Larkin area, Merlin Tower.. they are different places rite ?. My understanding is, Larkin area is where the bus interchange is. As for Merlin Tower it is in the JB Central.
