Very unlikely that we know someone personally. For one, this is not something your infected friend or relative will mention during conversation. Secondly, there are only 4000+ known infected people in Singapore, out of a population of 5+million, so the chances of us knowing someone is pretty low.

I remember reading this line from Dr Robert Francisno who's since passed away:

A person having protected sex with 100 partners is less at risk than a person having unprotected sex with 10 partners.

If you are talking about protected sex and HIV, the chance is even lower. HIV (the virus) is "suspended" in body fluids.

As long as body fluids does not pass through the condom (and it simply cannot if the rubber is unbroken), it is impossible for the virus to get onto your dick and into your body.

The problem is if the rubber breaks or slips off. This can be prevented by ensuring your condom is well lubricated, not expired and not stored in hot, sunny places, and ensuring that you use condoms of the right size.

I know of a friend's friend that contracted HIV many years back...remember that when he passed away...there was a lot of sufferings due to his compromised immune system.:eek:

He died with multiple cancers tumours and keep begging the caregivers at the hospice to end his life. Heard from my friend that when he died,七腔流血and shit even comes out from his body.:eek:

According to my friend, he put two condom when poking FL and still managed to contract HIV...so aren't sure how true it is when people say u are likely to struck lottery then get HIV....Anyway i guess that if u dare to go up the tiger mountain, you must be prepared to be maul by the tiger.....:D

sounds malay..
not be racist, but due to certain ethinc groups , higher number of them are involved in bisexual/homosexual activity, i guess thats why the transmission rate higher.

also in general, singapore ladies not active in doing STD screening, my friend has ever encounter someone who obviously has std like chlamydia or gonorrhea but refuse to go for dsc checkup or screening after repeated advise from my friend.

U see even condoms also get it. I think my mind cannot be at peace. Tested up to 10 months finger prick test negative (I doubt its effectiveness). I keep thinking of trying another round of pcr test. Do u think is worth it? I am seriously broke now.

am not sure whether AFA is still giving free HIV screening. I went in Dec for the free screening, which they had twice a week in the evening.

You can only be at peace when you are tested positive. One day when you are dying of whatever shit, you will claimed that it is HIV related disease.

The next test you need is a brain scan and you may want to ask them to draw some cerebrospinal fluid to test for HIV. I'm sure its hidden there

If I am tested negative after 1 month and 1 week exposure, is it accurate to say im safe? since DSC is the one testing me
