feel insecure with too little money in my bank.

All this shows is that you don't have enough confidence in your venture to put your own money where your mouth is so you want someone else to take on the risk so you can reap the rewards.

In business, the last thing on earth you want to do is to have too many cooks in the kitchen. It makes the whole venture top heavy.

I think starting with 7k is more than enough. You don't need 14k because the business is not capital intensive and there are no cash flow problems as everybody pays on the spot.

It's better to have an open and transparent process. If your proposal looks attractive, there could be members here lining up to inject even more capital.
