What's your cheonging budget?
 

Went to ATM to withdraw vit M again today, and then went back and did a tally. Holy cow! For the past month, I spent over 10% of my miserable salary on FL, TN, HC, and KTV! Look like I need to do some serious budgeting right away, before I start begging on the street or selling my body (that is, if anyone ever fancy :D ).

Just curious: do other brudders have a "cheonging budget"? What proportion of your income is earmarked for this activity? And to what extent were you able to stick with that budget?

I don't have a cheonging budget and i don't earmarked my income for this and sometime it's pretty hard to stick to budget if the urge is too strong. But i do believe that one should spend within their budget/live within their means.

Always save a portion 1st then spend the balance, not spend 1st then save whatever is left.

i did a rough calculation, all the 4 activities if real enjoy 1 think chao chao need abt 400-500. so his pay must be 5k at least lor

Let do some Maths here (conservative):

FL : 100 +20 (room) + 2 (CD) : 122
TN : 28 + 30 (HJ) : 58
HC : 40 + 100 : 140
KTV : 50 (shared) + 50 (tips) : 100

Total expnditure : $420

So your pay is $4,200.00 :D If the components at FL and KTV is higher, then you are damn high power earner. :p

FL - Average 80 + 20 (hotel) = 100

KTV
1) Low end - Drinks 60 tips 20 =80
2) High End - Drinks 100 + gal (50) + mummy (shared , each person 20)
= 170


TN - 30 + (50 HJ) = 80
HC - 50(Entrance)+ 100 (FJ) = 150

conservative fig :

100+80+80+150 = 410
Note: S$410 is oni for TN wifout FJ, and go low end ktv..therefore the most conservative figure..


10 percent = S$410

100 percent = S$4,100

S$4,100 is net pay after CPF Deduction..
therefore ur gross salary is S$5,125... which is higher than me... :D

bro, 有命赚，没命花！i used to hav a fren who wk OT daily. He wk everyday for abt 14hrs a day than one month off 6 days go to Tg Batu cheong. Than came a time he collapse when wkin n died! Over exhausted!

Tink we must balance out our wk, $$ n cheonging. For me ideally would b 10% cheonging, 10% saving, 10% china fund :p , 50% family, 20% misc.
But in the end its always 25% cheonging n 5% misc. :(
