Am particularly annoyed by this article. :mad:

In the April issue of Nuyou, local actress Felicia Chin criticised local men for lacking in quality, perhaps because they have been too well taken of.

She also wrote "It's hard to find mature and steady men of the olden days, like my father."

In subsequent interviews in the Chinese papers and The New Paper, she also added that local men "lack substance, are arrogant and money-minded".

But Chin is not the only woman who is complaining about men here.

Some women interviewed by RazorTV say men here can be harsh, ungentlemanly, stingy and gossipy.

Can't be bothered by what she say bro. She is not that pretty nor influential anyway.

And that might not be exactly why she said to the media. She mentioned in her facebook that the media exagerted the entire interview

I had worked with her before, i find her a very sweet and down to earth person. Maybe she had bad experience before, but to put all men down like that. Her impression to me is all wash down the drain, especially she's a person in public spot lights. PUI.

I realised that those mediacork artists who never get much local supporters or attention, they will start to criticise about Singaporean. She shld reflect on yrself & wonder why? And is she going to follow joanne peh's footstep of looking for another white so condemn on we locals? She really shame shame.

She is fully entitled to her own opinion but shooting such statements off into public domain reflects more on herself than her contents. A clumsy PR move to say the least.

I've quite a few female friends that are hooked up with ang mohs (which I presume that's whom our dear Felicia is comparing us to), and they have the same reason as Felicia: "more substance than SG men". Frankly when I speak to them about generic issues in life or simply anything under the sun, even down to a weekend's Barclays premiere league match, their knowledge is a big SMOKE OUT! So much for "substance" my dear Felicia.... I'm not passing a racist remark here, but it doesn't mean that words coming from the mouth of a white man is definitely more credible than that of an Asian.

It will be good if SG women can look at themselves in the mirror sometimes.... Not stereotyping SG women here, I know there are good ladies out there, but life can be a bitch these days, and I believe most men would appreciate that little bit of understanding.
